Most human activities are directly related to earning money to ensure one's existence. Therefore, many people go to work because they "have to," and accordingly, work is a kind of burden. Having been engaged in paintless dent removal for many years and often communicating with colleagues, we noticed that the general opinion is the same - paintless dent removal is, though not easy, a pleasure. Every day you come to work where it throws you a new "challenge." And you can't always immediately determine for yourself the strategy for removing a dent, but you begin carefully, as if "feeling out" and understanding the sequence of actions, the methodology. Each dent is individual and accordingly requires an individual approach when removing it.
Today we are removing a dent on a BMW. It is on the edge, which makes it rigid. Access is limited, which also complicates the task. And most importantly, this spot is easily visible on the highlight even with a carelessly thrown glance, and the black color will immediately reveal if the orange peel texture is different. In general, high-quality and painstaking work is required to remove the dent and restore the factory appearance.
After the necessary disassembly to provide access to the dent, we begin work. As one of our colleagues jokingly said, paintless dent removal is not work, but a "Time Machine"! And indeed, once you immerse yourself in the work, four and a half hours fly by swiftly, and gradually, step by step, the dent disappears millimeter by millimeter. Then follows work with the highlights remaining after dent removal and restoration of the plane. Essentially, a highlight is also a dent (or bump), but so small that it can only be seen from a distance if you look at the reflection. The experienced eye of a master immediately notices the remaining defect, understanding that the work is not yet finished.
Another at least 40 minutes passed, and finally the paintless dent removal is done. The assembly process takes about 10-15 minutes, but this is already the easiest part of the work. The result is in the photo.
